Vampires vs. Werewolves: A Presentation by Andrea Heimbrock

On April 9, 2011 at 1:30 PM in the Art Gallery the Olean Public Library will host a presentation featuring the vampire/ werewolf battles throughout modern literature. Also to be discussed is the epic fight between protagonists Edward and Jacob in the Stephenie Meyer Twilight book and series.

There will be a PowerPoint presentation with facts and circumstances on the age old battle between vampires and werewolves. The talk will include the history of these two supernatural creatures in other literary works and the impact on humans within the scope of these works of fiction. There will be a discussion period and refreshments will also be provided.

Andrea Heimbrock has a B.A. in English from theState University of New York at Buffalo and is currently a Library Science graduate student at SUNY Buffalo. Ms. Heimbrock will be graduating in December 2011. This presentation will be in conjunction with her class Resources and Services for Young Adults. In the past, Andrea has worked at Friedsam Memorial Library, Bonaventure NY, as well as the Music Library at UB. Andrea discovered her love for libraries when she worked as a page at the Torrington, Connecticut library. Andrea originally hails from Allegany, NY.
