Birds of Prey to Visit Library Wednesday

The Olean Public Library invites the public to attend a program featuring birds of prey presented by Mark Baker on Wednesday August 8th at 7pm in the parking lot in front of the library. Mark is a rehabilitator/falconer and owner of Eagle Dream Rehabilitation Center, Inc. located in Olean. Eagle Dream’s mission is to save injured birds and other small animals that have found themselves in harms way and to help educate the public on birds of prey.

Mark is a licensed falconer under New York State and Federal laws. He has been involved in the art of falconry since 2001. Mr. Baker’s primary mission is to care for and rehabilitate injured birds and animals so that they can be released back into nature. Some of the birds he rehabilitates are non-releasable due to their injuries. When this occurs, Mark uses them for educational purposes. He offers programs to the general public about falconry and birds of prey

For more information please call the Olean Public Library, 716-372-0200 or visit our website at This program is sponsored by the Olean Public Library and is free and open to the public.
