Presented by: The Arm, St. Bonaventure’s Student Writing Group
St. Bonaventure University student writers will present their work in a public reading at the Olean Public Library on Thursday April 16 at 7:00 pm.
While most of the writers are journalism/mass communication majors, The Arm provides them the opportunity to express their creative sides in their writing. Expect and eclectic and exciting assortment of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction from some of Bonaventure’s most talented literary voices.
“We have a bunch of wonderful student writers at St. Bonaventure, and The Arm gives them the chance to practice their creative writing skills in a context beyond the classroom,” says Chris Mackowski, associate professor of journalism and mass communication at St. Bonaventure ant the moderator of the group. “One of the goals the group set for itself this semester was a pulic reading. I was a way for some students to push themselves a bit beyond their comfort levels.”
This event is free and open to the public.
